Take aways from KBIS 2020

January 26, 2020 in bathroom, wellness, technology

I’ve just returned from KBIS 2020 (Kitchen and Bath show) in Las Vegas. Though I can’t say much for Las Vegas (to my favorite place), I can say that there was LOTS to take in at the show.

A few take aways…

Color is back. There were lots of color offerings in sinks, tubs and of course, tile.

Technology has taken over. But you knew that. Yes, we have Smart Homes, but now your kitchen, baths and appliances are pretty smart as well. Automated faucets, refrigerators, ovens, you name it, you can find a smart version.

Bidet toilets are huge. Especially those with lots of automation. There were crowds at every display. Lids that lower and close automatically, night lights, music, seemingly endless options for washing and drying just he way you like it. It goes on. I guess we Americans are finally catching up to the Japanese on this.

And finally, there are more quartz offerings than the world can possibly consume.

My attitude may be a bit out of step, but are’t these just more things to go wrong and need servicing?
